Welcome Dr. Dritz

Starting at the end of November, Dr. Michele Dritz will be joining the Cornerstone Pediatrics team as our Adolescent Medicine specialist. Her role will be to work with our teenagers & young adults, along with their families, to help keep them healthy, safe, and ready to make that important transition into adulthood. She will be working with our other clinic providers providing both general care for your teen (such as yearly comprehensive well visits that incorporate a sports physical plus recommended developmental care, preventive screening and immunizations), as well as some of the more time-intensive or unique adolescent issues that may arise such as mental health concerns and emotional well-being, gynecological issues, contraception services, sports medicine issues, and acne treatment, just to name a few. This type of care and these conversations often require more time, so you will also notice that we schedule longer appointment times for her visits.

Dr. Dritz is joining us after spending the last 5 years as one of the civilian Adolescent Medicine physicians at Wright-Patterson AFB. She grew up as part of a military family herself, so she's from a little bit of everywhere, but has now made Ohio her home. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego, her medical degree at Albany Medical College in upstate New York and her Pediatric training at St Louis Children's Hospital/Washington University in Missouri. She then went on to complete her Adolescent Medicine fellowship training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center along with additional training in healthcare quality improvement. She and her husband have 2 children.
